MY HEART CONNECTS WITH ALL HEARTS IN LOVING COMPASSION.

Loving my neighbor is the best thing I can do while one of the most difficult to achieve. In the midst of all that is occurring in the world, I remain open and receptive to the possibility of healing. Love is the only power and God the only presence. Every small effort that I make to hold my heart open generates powerful healing energy, no matter what is happening around me. I find my comfort and solace here. I rest in this heartfelt presence.

With my family, my friends, my loved ones, and myself, opening my heart space allows for something new to emerge—a new spirit, a new life, a new presence of love and peace. I feel this healing power moving in my life and world as I align and harmonize my being with divine love.

So then, putting away falsehood, let all of us speak the truth to our neighbors, for we are members of one another.—Ephesians 4:25

September 21 is celebrated every year as the International Day of Peace. The day is dedicated to world peace and, specifically, is a call to an end to wars and violence globally.

The International Day of Peace, which is also known as World Peace Day, was drafted and adopted by the United Nations in 1948.

The United Nations celebrated the International Day of Peace for the first time in 1982. On this day the United Nations Peace Bell is rung at the UN headquarters in New York.

The theme for World Peace Day 2018 is: “The Right to Peace – The Universal Declaration of Human Rights at 70”

“It is time all nations and all people live up to the words of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which recognizes the inherent dignity and equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human race. This year marks the 70th anniversary of that landmark document,” said UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
