You Don’t Have to Be in D.C. to Participate in
Habitat on the Hill!
Wednesday, February 13, 2019
This year, our very own Barbara Witte, Marcia Barry-Smith and Habitat homeowner Jhonson St. Remy are in D.C., and you too can participate in Habitat on the Hill with our first Virtual Hill Day! We need you to advocate from afar in support of the Self-Help Opportunity Program (SHOP) and the Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME). Both of these programs are critical to the work we are doing to help Broward families secure affordable housing.
Take Action via Email and Call Your Legislatures
Use our pre-populated email action form to communicate with your representatives in Congress, send individual emails or make calls using the contact information below. When you contact your legislatures, be sure to mention that your fellow Habitat for Humanity advocates have traveled to the Hill from around the country to support the future of affordable housing and by emailing or calling in, you are joining them!
Social Media Advocacy
Utilize social media today, Wednesday, February 13, 2019, to share posts that display your public support for increasing access to home affordability. Be sure to tag our members of Congress and post on their social media pages! Don’t forget to use the hashtags: #HabitatOnTheHill #VirtualHillDay #HomeAffordability.
Thank you for joining us. Welcome to the Hill!
